Corgi 1:16 scale Die-Cast Robin Cycle

In 2005 Corgi released a 1:16 scale die-cast Robin Cycle that is almost an exact copy of Robin cycle featured in the the DC Bronze Age comics and in the DC Style Guide. Packaged in a nice open face display box (approx. 5.5" x 4"), at 1:16 scale, making it perfect for the Super-Powers collection! The Corgi Robin Cycle comes with a non-articulated Robin figure attached to the bike, but with a little effort the figure can be removed and the Super-Powers Robin figure actually sits nicely on the bike.

DCTV Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover Final Trailer

The CW will present its biggest DC crossover ever with CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS airing across five different episodes of the network’s hit superhero series and spanning two quarters (December 2019 and January 2020). Additionally, characters from BLACK LIGHTNING will be featured for the first time ever in this year’s epic CRISIS OF INFINITE EARTHS crossover. Plus, the legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy (“Batman: The Animated Series”) will be making a special guest appearance as Bruce Wayne from the future. Crisis on Infinite Earths begins Sunday December 8th on The CW!

Leaf Comicbook Candy Secret Origins Mini-Comics

Sometime around 1981 or so when I was about 10 years old I headed down to the local drugstore with some change burning a hole in my pocket... Our local drugstore had a full comics rack, lots of candy, cheap toys, and a soda fountain. But there was something new among the candy selections on this day!

It was Leaf Comicbook Candy! The 6 x 8 x 7 ¼" cardboard counter top display contained 36 mini comics, each 2 ¾ x 4 ¼" featuring the secret origins of eight different DC Comics characters including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Hawkman, and the Justice League of America. Review: Kenner Super Powers Hall of Justice Playset

Its the Super Powers Collection Hall of Justice playset! Although early concept artwork originally envisioned the Hall of Justice as merely a figure storage case, by the time it reached production it had been expanded into a full fledged playset. However, some storage case elements did carry over. The "teleportation" and "revitalization" chambers give the playset added value, allowing it to become a storage case for up to 10 Super Powers figures.

Based mainly on the office set featured in the 1950s TV show The Adventures of Superman and also seen briefly in the first episode of the cartoon Challenge of the Super Friends entitled "Wanted: The Super Friends," this diorama is scaled at 1:16 and is suitable for use with 4.5" Kenner Super Powers Figures.

Super Powers Batcave

Despite any speculation on what it may have looked like, we really don't know what an official Kenner Super Powers Batcave playset would have looked like. While conceptual drawings have been seen, it is unknown if they are actual official plans. However, given the time frame, a Super Powers Batcave playset would have only had influences from the comics and perhaps the 1966 Batman live action television show. The designs from the Batman movie with Michael Keaton would have had absolutely no influence due to the fact it wouldn't be made until 1989, three years after the last released wave of the Super Powers Collection. With this all in mind, a Super Powers Batcave diorama scene was assembled.

Super Powers Papercraft TroubAlert

Also known as the Trouble Alert, the TroubAlert is an advanced globally networked emergency monitoring system relaying information from the Justice League Satellite to the Hall of Justice alerting the Super friends to all sorts of dangers and natural disasters.

The TroubAlert is also connected to the Secret Department of Investigation (SDI). The SDI is an agency withing the United States government which alerts the SuperFriends when they are needed in case of danger and other emergencies. Colonel Wilcox routinely contacts the SuperFriends on behalf of the SDI using the TroubAlert.

Super Powers Bio-Cards

Hasbro started it all by printing file cards on the backs of G.I. Joe action figure blister cards. Kids were expected to cut them out and save them along with the figures. The figure collector cases even featured compartments to keep the file cards in.

This allowed kids to have a better idea about who was who in the collection, who the good guys were , who were the bad guys, and what their powers were. Kenner definitely paid attention to this when they designed the packaging for the Super Powers collection.

In 1984, facing the real possibility that Return of the Jedi would be the last ever Star Wars movie and with Mattel's Masters of the Universe and Hasbro's G.I. Joe figure lines breathing down their necks, Kenner was looking at a future without a franchise.

Deciding to go for the DC Comics brand of Super-Heroes, Kenner won the license away from Mego to begin production of the Super Powers Collection, one of the, if not the, best lines of 4.5 inch Super-hero action figures ever made! Along with the figures, there were also vehicles and playsets, such as the Batmobile and the Hall of Justice, produced. Unfortunately, the line would last for only 3 waves and was cancelled in 1986.
