Kenner Real Ghostbusters Ecto-2 Action Vehicle

Ecto-2 Action Vehicle
The Real Ghostbusters Heroes can take to the skies or the streets in the Ecto-2 which changes from a road to a flying vehicle.

The Ecto-2 (also known as the ecto-copter) is a small ultra-light helicopter capable of converting into a small road vehicle when the wings are folded up. It is the second vehicle used by the Ghostbusters in the animated series The Real Ghostbusters originally seen the episode titled Ghosts 'R Us. Capable of carrying 1 passenger and the pilot, it has 2 folding wings and a winch and cable. It was also shown to be capable of fitting in the back of the Ecto-1 when folded into driving mode.

Ecto-2 Box front
The Ecto-2 toy is an action vehicle, part of Kenner's The Real Ghostbusters toy line, based off the animated series Ecto-2. The toy version, however, doesn't include the passenger seat of the animated version.

The toy Ecto-2 features handle with a trigger, which when squeezed makes the propeller blades rotate or powers the built-in winch. When activated the winch can be used to lift a hero figure to safety! Mounted beneath Ecto-2 is the Ghost Eliminator, a modified nutrona wand which is also a bomb that can be dropped when the stick shift is pressed!

I am thrilled to add this to my Real Ghostbusters collection. Here are few more pictures of the Ecto-2:

    1. I love the original cartoon and have been trying to collect the pieces that were actually featured on the show like the Ecto-2. Like Big Tone above, I can't wait for the re-release of the original figures in the line!

  3. Still Have the "whole" line from childhood (didn't get all the last glow & dark figures). They made a slew of toys but never understood why they were mostly the ghostbusters in different outfits and the foes were not from the cartoon etc. just random filler and most not even ghosts, like the universal monsters????? I hope with the retro line... which is almost impossible to find BTW (took forever to get a full set)... that they make more characters from the show. It would be silly not to since for example: the TNMT repros didn't even bother and just put out all the lame outfits instead, which just sat at TRU until they closed.

    1. The four Ghostbusters have been warming pegs at the local Wal-Mart for months, however Slimer and Mr. Staypuft are nowhere to be seen. I'm glad I got mine when I did!
