Review: Masters of the Universe Origins He-Man

Masters of the Universe was big part of my life when I was I kid and I had all the first wave releases that came out in 1982, along with the vehicles, Battle Cat, and even a Castle Grayskull! When I saw these at Wal-Mart the other day I couldn't help myself and I broke down and bought them all. Today I broke open the He-Man figure. Lets take a look at him --

He-Man comes on a blister card that is made to look very much like it did back in the ’80s.

The Masters of the Universe is at the top with He-Man’s name below. He-Man himself is displayed at the bottom of the blister.

On the back, we get some artwork of He-Man at the top, below that we get the cross sell art of the action features and pictures of the rest of the figures in this 1st wave.

Taking He-Man off the card we get a good look at all the bright colors they used on him. Everything very much looks like how the figure looked in the 80s. just now standing up straight. He sports a brand new head sculpt that is supposed to look more like the comic and cartoon version... It looks ok, I guess, but I actually prefer the original sulpt of the vintage figure though.

He-Man wears his strength enhancing harness and also includes one half of the Power Sword, an ax, a shield, and a mini comic.

These figures have quite a bit of articulation, so now it feels like we will really be able to pose vintage style Masters of the Universe figures in a dynamic way for the first time ever.
