Super-Powers: Clark Kent's Office Diorama

And who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan
newspaper, fights a never ending battle for truth, justice and the American way.
Its Clark Kent in his office at the Daily Planet! Based mainly on the office set featured in the 1950s TV show The Adventures of Superman and also seen briefly in the first episode of the cartoon Challenge of the Super Friends entitled "Wanted: The Super Friends," this diorama is scaled at 1:16 and is suitable for use with 4.5" Kenner Super Powers Figures.

Here are the pictures from the actual sets that inspired this build. As you can see, the diorama isn't an exact copy of either set. The first proof-of-concept build was made using the colors scheme of the cartoon version, but it was quickly discarded and replaced with the more eye-pleasing and detailed blue/green design from the TV Show. Instead of blinds, the cartoon version's curtains were used allowing a glimps of the city outside the window.

On a side note: notice next time when Clark dashes from his office to the store room to change into Superman, the hallway outside the office can be seen to go around the corner to where his window is supposed to be!

To make this diorama, either download all the individual images or just get the PDF file below. The images may be printed out on card stock or they could be printed on regular or sticker paper and placed on foam board for the walls. The furniture and other bits of fodder such as the typewriter work best on card stock. The floor must be printed twice.

When cutting out the wall with the door, leave a tab to attach the wall with the window! Glue the inside wall to the outside wall before you cut the door! If using just card stock, glue an extra piece to the wall with the window for stability. Feel free to add props from other toy lines to add your own touches to the scene.

The desk and the chair aren't included because they are from other sources. Feel free to use your own or use these. The desk can be found at Aftdownloads as part of the "Image of Fendahl" set from Doctor Who. The office chair can be found in deviantArt user maxmen3601's gallery.
